Emails are boring. We get thousands of them every day and we ignore most of them unless there’re really important or we come across them by accident. With Internet marketing, emails can be very impersonal and are usually thrown into the recipents spam box. But there is a new way you can make emails personal and grab the attention of whomever you are trying to contact. This is through the use of video emails. Video emails are easy to setup. There are several different networks you can use such as Helloworld or Eyejot that you can use. In order for video emails to work for you is to make them as personal as possible. Mention the clients name. Reinforce what it is there looking for. Don’t make a generic message that you send out to all of your leads. It shows a lack of effort on your part. Believe me your clients will notice. The message doesn’t have to be long. It can be 30 seconds to a minute. Keep it short and to the point. You can also set up a link to your website or any attachments you want sent with the message. Video emails will set you apart from your competitors since most people still don’t utilize them. Why is beyond me. But that doesn’t matter. Internet marketing is all about building relationships and video emails will show your clients that you’re paying attention to there needs.

Robert,
I’m glad you brought this up this is something that I’ve really wanted to tap into. The most important thing about utilizing video email is it’s immediately will make you stand out from the crowd because I don’t see people utilizing it.
I just came up with a great idea what if you could make a simple training video on how to interact with your website’s IDX such as: Show them how to save favorite properties, how to use the call to action button’s such as schedule a showing, how to setup mutiple searches.
Any ideas on how to make this would creating a webinar be the best option?
Hi Robert,
You are absolutely right. There was one video email system not mentioned, but the company is growing by leaps and bounds. The company is Talk Fusion and The Talk Fusion Video Email marketing system even caters to Realtors because they understand the know, like and trust factor Realtors need. There is a real time tracking mechanism built right in so you know who watches, when they watch and if they click through to your website. In October, the company is going to launch a social networking site that will showcase all the ways businesses are using Talk Fusion in their marketing efforts. Video Email is a growing trend and eventually those not using it will get left behind. Please contact me at talkfusion@fuse.net if you would like more information.
Also, look at animoto.com to produce spectacular videos – their system is really neat.
Greg, you make a great point for the call to action buttons. My question is does the video making really make a good return on investment as this seems to require a significant amount of time. Unless of corse there is a web cam with easy to use software. Do you know of any?
Robert Worthington,
Video emails could be done really quickly if you had a webcam built into your laptop. It would be as simple as saying what you were planning on emailing. I don’t think it would take much time and might even be quicker then typing your email if you type slowly.
I think the major thing is the ability to do something no one else is doing.
Not positive who is the author of the blog but I would sure like to have them contact me on how to put this together. I have a strong interest in creating video and embedding them in emails. If this is not possible I would love to see a tutorial video on how to embed a video in email and still not have it killed by spam filters.
My little brother does this with this drip mail. The neat thing is he can track how many people opened the blog though utube. He seems to get a good reply he is one of my top selling agents most of the time.
Robert, I would be interested in getting your opinion on EyeMail. No Clickthrough, no attachment, no downloads…instantly playable (directly in the inbox) 30 second high quality video or audio. I would like to hear your thoughts on the technology and it’s potential, please contact me at your discretion.
I would love to review it. What exactly did you have in mind? We use video email all the time. We are a real estate group that is heavy on technology. Especially with video emails. Let me know what you would like me to do. Looking forward to talking with you soon.
