"Trulia is hiring a high end group of professionals to serve as lobbyists "
Given what they have been up to lately, that's not surprising. It will be interesting to see what changes hands as a result.

Drew Izzo from Roost here. We would like to congratulate Trulia on its announcement that it will be forming MLS partnerships. As has been Roost’s mission from the beginning, the ability to provide quality homes-for-sale data online is an exciting development for homebuyers, and Trulia’s entrance here, we feel, is a strong validation of our vision and business plan. MLS data is the gold standard for consumers searching for their dream home, and consumers with access to MLS listings will find online home searches to be ultimately more successful and informative.

That said, we do want to point out that while Trulia's partnership is a great step forward, there are no shortcuts to building a search engine with the most comprehensive and accurate set of home listings, as Roost has. As we understand the partnership, the relationships Trulia forms will be with individual brokers – they will need to partner with each broker in each market. Roost, on the other hand, partners with local/regional MLS Boards, which means our listings include all homes for sale from all members of the local boards. For more information on Roost, please visit www.roost.com.
