Let this serve as a reminder how important our online reputation is. If you don’t own your own name.com, do it now. You don’t have to use it, just don’t let anyone else have it. Also, be sure to set Google alerts for your name.
Such a simple, yet great piece of advice. Google Alerts is a great tool. The internet can be a great representation of yourself, or your business if you make it so. Your online reputation IS YOU. Its easy to forget.
Great piece of advice. I have been teaching internet marketing for the past 7 years and one of the first things we tell our clients to do is go and secure their piece of personal real estate on the web…Their name.com
If you are unable to secure your name then try adding your middle initial or adding a word like online after your name like… yournameonline.com
I feel so bad for Carolyn. It is horrible to have years of effort destroyed by someone else. I hope she is not affected for long. I am sure Ashley will be out of real estate soon enough.
