Home Gain does give a way for new websites to get traffic and was a better method than Google Ad words because it gave better leads. Being that the buyer isn't paying for this service, the agents are, I feel like Home Gain is still a good thing for the real estate industry being that it helps give new agents and new real estate websites a start.

I started out with Home Gain myself, but agree that they don’t add any value to the buyers. I would have to say that they are a great lead source. It is really no different than another client recommending your services, they are a 3rd party recommending you to a new party. I use HomeGain and have had great results.

Where I agree with Grant that HomeGain does not add any value to a transaction. The truth is that they tend to put themselves into the middle of a transaction without adding too much value, from a real estate agent's point of view. What are the incentives to the buyers and sellers?

I am still not sure how I feel about Home Gain or any other 3rd party lead generator.
