An announcement was made to employees of GMAC Real Estate by email June 3, 2009 that John Bearden resigned as President and CEO of GMAC Real Estate effective June 12 for personal reasons. Bearden assumed the role of President in 2001 and was instrumental in the sale of GMAC Real Estate to Brookfield RPS.
Graham Badun, CEO of Brookfield RPS, announced he will take over as interim President for GMAC Real Estate. An executive search is under way for a permanent president.
